Assisted Living Certificate Nursing Track Highlights Important Clinical Topics
Posted on May 9, 2018 by Heidi Simpson
In addition to building a solid foundation of knowledge on the important regulations governing home care in assisted living settings covered in the new Assisted Living Certificate program, the nursing track will continue to emphasize those essential skills required to successfully run the clinical services component in these settings.
Important elements from the original Home Care Nurse Manager Certificate program have been updated and preserved, while new topics have been added to strengthen the skill set of the nurses working in arranged home care within a Housing-with-Services/Assisted Living setting. The nursing track also features a small group learning environment, peer-to-peer learning and expert faculty that will equip home care nurses with a network of resources that can support them in their work and enhance clinical services offered.
Registration for the series for both the manager and nurse manager track is limited and on a first- received basis, so interested persons will want to register as soon as possible.
Two program series (summer and fall) will be offered in 2018. Click here to view the full schedule and register here. Note: The summer series begins May 30 and a one-time incentive of $100 off the registration fee is available for the summer series. Spots for these programs are filling, so members will want to sign up at their earliest convenience.
