Posted on July 31, 2018 by Nancy Garrett
LeadingAge Minnesota is now accepting nominations for the Board of Directors and Honorary Memberships. Applications are due by Friday, Aug. 10.
Board of Directors: There are only two elected positions without eligible incumbents for 2019 -- the Chair-Elect position and one Director-at-Large. However, any nominations received will also be considered for Appointed Director positions open later in the year. Also, Districts C and F will be electing new Directors to the Board this fall.
The following positions are open this year without an incumbent eligible for re-election:
- Chair-Elect – (first, one-year term). The term will commence on Jan. 1, 2019 and run for one year with eligibility for re-election to a second one-year term.
- Director-at-Large – (first, three-year term). The term will commence on Jan. 1, 2019 and run for three years with eligibility for re-election to a second three-year term.
The candidates will be presented as a slate for LeadingAge Minnesota members to vote on during the Annual Business Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 20 at Madden's Resort in Brainerd.
For more information, including the nomination form, download the nomination packet. Completed nominations must be sent to Nancy Garrett no later than Friday, Aug. 10.
Lifetime Honorary Memberships: This honor is awarded on up to two individuals each year in recognition of significant contributions to the overall success of LeadingAge Minnesota either by service as a leader at the district, committee or board level and/or by consistent service to the Association as an event volunteer or in other supportive roles.
To be eligible for this award, individuals must also be fully retired from the field of aging services and have been an active LeadingAge Minnesota member for a period of at least 10 years.
