Adult Day Services Response to COVID-19
Posted on September 16, 2020 by Roni Falck
A recent survey of LeadingAge Minnesota Adult Day Services providers highlighted significant changes in the field due to COVID-19
, specifically:
- 64% reduction in average daily census;
- Over half of providers have adopted Alternative Adult Day Services; and
- Close to a quarter of providers are not able to serve clients at this time.
While DHS allowed for the resumption of in person services in July, significant barriers exist including limited service hours, reimbursement that does not cover the cost of care and other financial challenges.
Full survey results can be found here.
