Juniper Offers Online Wellness Classes for Seniors
Posted on October 7, 2020 by Bobbie Guidry
As with so many other resources in this time of pandemic, Juniper has moved a number of their classes online for easy remote access.
Juniper, managed through Innovations for Aging, LLC, a nonprofit subsidiary of Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging, is helping communities across Minnesota create a culture of health, where prevention and wellness are the norm. Juniper programs provide education, fitness instruction, and self-care strategies for participants—a wonderful resource for residents of senior living settings, for caregivers, and even for older staff members. Their evidence-based programs help people across the state experience improved wellness and quality of life. Several LeadingAge Minnesota members are also provider contacts with Juniper programs.
A listing of programs include:
- Tai Ji Quan – Moving for Better Balance
- Diabetes Prevention and Self-Management
- Chronic Pain and Disease Management
- Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program
To register for programs, to provide a referral, or to become a class trainer, see the Juniper website, or contact Juniper.
